Don't 'balance' the budget on the backs of working people

From cutting health benefits for our retired seniors, to imposing regressive taxes on Chicago's working families, the proposed City of Chicago 2015 budget is 'balanced' on the backs of working people.

Carlos believes it's time our Aldermen close corporate tax loopholes and ask millionaires and billionaires to pay their fair share, instead of reaching deeper into the pockets of everyday Chicagoans.

The proposed City of Chicago 2015 budget:

  • cuts health benefits for retired seniors
  • increases taxes for everyday Chicagoans on parking, cable TV, and cell phones
  • increases taxes for small businesses and everyday Chicagoans on office equipment and car leases
  • does not ask big corporations to pay their fair share
