March is Women's Herstory Month and in Chicago we have an unprecedented opportunity to elect two women of color to the Chicago City Council with deep herstories of grassroots activism for social and economic justice - Rossana Rodriguez in the 33rd Ward and Jeanette Taylor in the 20th Ward.
Join us on Thursday, March 14, 2019 for a screening of Salt of the Earth (1954), a film that explores the intersection of our struggles for women's rights, workers' rights, and racial equality; and the pivotal leadership role women of color play in our movements for liberation. Immediately following the film we will be joined by Rossana and Jeanette for a panel discussion.
The runoff election is April 2 and all ticket sales from the event will directly support the election of Rossana and Jeanette.
